INTRODUCTION
Our commitment is the delivery of bespoke, safe and first-class services and customer experiences through a network of locally owned and operated offices within Southeast Asia. With a focus on experience, guest safety, quality control and service delivery, you can rely on Lao Travel Links’s high standards across all the countries in which we operate. Each itinerary is individually booked and confirmed by our team of resident experts ensuring travel is operated according to your proposals. Each request is dutifully responded to within 24 hours unless negotiations and special requests are required on your behalf; our team will ultimately inform and follow up.
PRICING & SERVICES
Lao Travel Links offer confidential rates based on market research, competition analysis, strategic negotiation and in-depth information for each specific season in each destination. These rates are offered under the condition that they cannot be displayed in any way to third parties. All quoted rates, unless otherwise specified, are net and non-commissionable.
All hotel rates in our confidential tariff are per room per night and inclusive of all applicable charges and taxes, unless otherwise specified; all tours and transfer rates in our confidential tariff are per person and inclusive of all applicable charges and taxes, unless otherwise specified; specific services from outside our confidential tariff will be offered on a case-by-case basis.
Many hotels include compulsory special gala dinners on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and sometimes on national and/or other festive occasions in each country. This is a compulsory charge and will be communicated and invoiced by Lao Travel Links where applicable.
TAXES
Unless otherwise specified, all quoted rates are inclusive of applicable taxes (including service charges, Value Added Taxes and/or locally charged taxes). Domestic tourism taxes and/or airport taxes may be applicable and are not included. These need to be paid directly to the relevant authority, by the traveler.
In the event of government-imposed tax changes, Lao Travel Links reserves the right to alter the rates accordingly. Lao Travel Links will Awork to avoid this from occurring however reserves the right to collect any differentials from the clients individually, which may arise.
PAYMENT
Unless otherwise specified, all quoted rates are inclusive of applicable taxes (including service charges, Value Added Taxes and/or locally charged taxes). Cancellation Policy
- No charge for any cancellation 31 days prior arrival date (*) except for flights, cruises, or exceptional services which will be advised separately.
- For cancellation requested less than 31 days before arrival, the cancellation charges set out below will be payable:

Deposit & Payment
- We request an intitial security deposit between US$ 200 to US$ 500per person when booking. Lao Travel Links
- The full payment must be made at least 20 days beforethe tour departure.
- We regret to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the full payment by the time of the request.
- The deposit is non-refundableand cannot be transferred to another person or booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
- No refunds are given for cancellations due to bad weatheror personal reasons. Lao Travel Links
- If you cancel in writing, there may be an extra cancellation fee (depending on timing).
- If you cancel after final payment and within 30 days before departure, they can’t refund beyond what they clearly state in your bill.
- They recommend travel insurance to cover cancellations for things like illness, disaster, or other personal issues.
Health & Responsibility
- You’re responsible for your own health: they may ask for a doctor’s note to confirm you’re fit for the trip. Lao Travel Links
- The tour guide has discretion over the schedule. They may change things due to weather or safety, and they explicitly state they don’t compensate for these changes.
- They disclaim liabilityfor flight delays or schedule changes.
- Participants must have personal travel insurance.
- They’re not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of your personal belongings.
- They also disclaim liability in the event of an accident.
Motorcycle Changes & Damage
- You’re responsible for your own health: they may ask for a doctor’s note to confirm you’re fit for the trip. Lao Travel Links
- The tour guide has discretion over the schedule. They may change things due to weather or safety, and they explicitly state they don’t compensate for these changes.
- They disclaim liabilityfor flight delays or schedule changes.
- Participants must have personal travel insurance.
- They’re not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of your personal belongings.
- They also disclaim liability in the event of an accident.
Rider Requirements & Behavior
- Riders must be 22 years or olderand have a valid motorcycle license, plus at least 2 years of riding experience on similar or larger bikes. Lao Travel Links
- If a participant breaks local traffic lawsor the tour leader’s instructions, the company can cancel the service agreement or suspend the rider for the rest of the tour.
- There is a strict rule about alcohol: participants must not drinkuntil they stop for the night at a designated place.
- The company is not responsibleif the itinerary is canceled due to government actions (e.g., border closures, quarantines), but they may transfer your booking to another tour.
Liability & Waiver
- Before the tour, you must sign a Release and Waiver Form, acknowledging the risks of motorcycle touring. Lao Travel Links
- By signing, you confirm:
- You’re over 18.
- You have the required riding experience and license.
- The company (and its staff) will not be legally liablefor injury, death, or property loss on the trip.
- This waiver is binding on your heirs or anyone who could take legal action on your behalf
Risks & Things to Watch Out For (Based on These Terms)
- The deposit is non-refundable, so you really should be sure before committing.
- Even with tour cancellation protections, bad weather or changesmay not get you a refund.
- You’ll need strong travel insurance(medical + liability), because the company disclaims a lot of risk.
- If you damage the bike, you could face a high cost(unless you pay for their ERP).
- Your riding experience matters a lot: they’re strict on age, license, and years of experience.
- You must be very careful with behavior (especially around alcohol), because they can remove you from the tour.

Motorcycle Changes & Damage
- They may substitute a different bike during the tour (for example, due to breakdowns). Lao Travel Links
- There’s third-party insurance on their vehicles: up to US$ 5,000, but there’s a US$ 500 extra charge for claims.
- The participants must pay for any accidental damage worth $100-2,000 that the tour provider believes to be his fault. The definition of “damage” excludes acceptable wear and tear, including minor blemisher or paint chips caused by insect, gravel and rock. However, the insurance does not cover severe scratches or damage due to motorcycle dumping, accidents bush bumping, or bike flooding.
- Participants are liable for up to US$ 2,000for damages they cause (unless you buy their “Excess Reduction Policy”).
- With the Excess Reduction Policy (ERP), you can reduce your liability from US$ 2,000 → US$ 200 by paying US$ 30/day during the trip. (Please note: insurance purchased in Laos will be cheaper than in your home country.)
- This policy must be bought at booking time (cannot be added once the trip starts).
- If the rider is under the influence of alcohol or stimulants, they take full liability and the company may refuse to provide a replacement bike.
